Privacy Policy

Contact and valuation requests. When you send the contact form or request a confidential assessment from the valuation page, we collect the details you enter: your name, firm or company, email address, your message, and whether you asked for our capabilities deck. We use them to reply to you and to prepare what you asked for.

The valuation estimate. The figures you enter into the valuation calculator are used in your browser to produce the estimate. They are sent to us only if you then request a confidential assessment.

The chat. The chat on the Site is answered by an AI agent, which Cognigy runs for us. What you write in it is sent to Cognigy, and we receive a summary of the conversation by email so that we can follow up with you. The chat is not on Design Your Exit or on plan pages.

Design Your Exit. Your answers stay in your browser until you ask for your plan. When you do, we store your answers and the plan we generate, and we email you a private link to it. We use an AI model provider to help write the narrative section of the plan. Nothing you enter is shared with any acquirer without your written permission. There are no advertising or analytics tools on Design Your Exit or on the plan pages.

On the rest of the Site we use analytics tools to understand how visitors find and use it:

• Google Analytics and DataFast measure visits, pages viewed, and traffic sources.
• PostHog measures how visitors use the Site and records sessions: pages viewed, clicks, and scrolling. What you type into form fields is masked in those recordings. When you submit a form, we link the contact details you gave us to your activity on the Site, so we can see which pages and sources led to your enquiry.

These tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and receive your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, and the address you came from. They load when you visit the Site. They do not run on Design Your Exit or on plan pages.

The chat also loads when you visit the Site. It stores an identifier in your browser so that a conversation can be picked up again, and Cognigy receives your IP address and your device and browser type. What is said in the chat is left out of the session recordings.

We use the information above to respond to enquiries, prepare assessments and plans, operate and secure the Site, and understand which content and channels are useful. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site and respond to you, under terms that limit them to that purpose: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and security), Resend (email delivery), Anthropic (AI model provider for the Design Your Exit plan narrative), Google (analytics), DataFast (analytics), PostHog (analytics and session recording), and Cognigy (the chat and the AI agent that answers it). We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights.

We keep enquiries and Design Your Exit submissions until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them for the purpose you gave them to us. You can ask us at any time to delete your submission, to remove the personal details from it, or to switch off the link to your plan.

The Site is for business owners and their advisers. It is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

We may update this policy as our tools or practices change. The effective date above shows the current version.
